Starting Feb. 1 2022, Avalanche and Dorahacks are launching the Avalanche Asia Hackathon for developers and early stage projects to build and scale innovative new solutions and dApps across Web3, DeFi, NFT & much more on Avalanche. Winning projects will get a share of the prize pool which comes in the form of collective investments from many prominent venture funds and players in the industry.

The Avalanche Asia Hackathon is now live. This hackathon is backed by AVATAR(Avalanche Asian Star Fund), Blizzard Fund and other prominent venture capitals with over $5,000,000 in prizes. All kinds of dApps and projects including DeFi, Web3, Metaverse, NFT, Gamefi, Infrastructure & tooling and anything beyond our imagination are welcome to join the Hackathon, with no regional limits. 90% of the total prize pool will be reserved for the top 10 winning projects across all the sectors listed above as an investment and will be awarded based on decisions of the judging panel comprising of many prominent figures within the space. This is an unprecedented opportunity to be funded by top funds like AVATAR, Blizzard, A&T, NGC, SNZ & many more.

Also, more than $500,000 will be given to projects through quadratic funding on DoraHacks website(hyperlink: https://hackerlink.io/grant/avalanche/ ), a developer incentive platform where the community gets to decide who can get funded with their votes. There will be multiple quadratic funding pools where the community can participate meaningfully in this Hackathon by voting for projects that they think will benefit the Avalanche ecosystem most so stay tuned!

Build without limit

The Avalanche Asia Hackathon launches on Feb. 1 2022 and runs until March 31.This hackathon is focused on allowing developers to build projects on top of the Avalanche platform for the following sectors and targets to select top 10 projects from all sectors for the winners.

Throughout the registration period and hackathon, there will be live stream presentations, workshops, and open discussions on a variety of technical and crypto-related topics. The goal is to help developers get maximum technical guidance.

The BUIDL upload officially starts today and participants can upload their projects through https://hackerlink.io/grant/avalanche
During the Hackathon, there are a series of workshops to help you get a full understanding of Avalanche consensus and dApps building.
We will conduct multiple rounds of project demos, so that the projects will get more attention in the morning, increase project exposure, and attract more votes and funding opportunities.
After the Hackathon, Avalanche Asia will work with the panel of judges to select the top projects for seed round investment and follow-up incubation to help the projects grow.
